Rob Ury is a Partner at Beta and a seasoned veteran in the retail real estate industry. Rob has worked with many prominent restaurant and retail brands and has represented several property owners throughout Southern California, where he’s lived his entire life.

Rob’s past and present clients include Adidas, Sephora, Uniqlo, Aritzia, Birkenstock, Todd Snyder, sweetgreen, Levain Bakery, Mendocino Farms, Venchi, CorePower Yoga, Buffalo Wild Wings, Philz Coffee, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Krispy Kreme, and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants.

Rob’s ownership clients have included ASB Real Estate Investments, CIM Group, Federal Realty Investment Trust, Rockwood Capital, TA Realty, Topa Management Company, Drollinger Properties, and West Coast Investors, along with several individual owners and family trusts.

Rob has arranged more than 500 lease transactions in his real estate career. His most significant deals include the negotiation of Uniqlo’s 15,460-square-foot lease at The Bloc in DTLA, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams’ 11,400-square-foot Beverly Hills Flagship store on North Beverly Drive; Adidas’ 6,681-square-foot flagship store on Third Street Promenade; the 5,900-square-foot Adidas Originals store on iconic Abbot Kinney Boulevard; and a $15.5M sale of a 12,259 SF trust-owned retail property in the prestigious neighborhood of Brentwood to a restaurant group in late 2022.

Rob has been responsible for advising Mendocino Farms since 2014, completing over 30 deals on behalf of the leading fast-casual brand in Southern California. Rob has also advised sweetgreen since 2015, helping to develop and execute their strategic market plan for most of Southern California by way of 27 deals to date.

Rob began his retail real estate career in 2006 with California Commercial Partners, Inc. in Newport Beach as a summer intern while attending the University of Southern California.

Before joining Beta in 2020, Rob spent over nine years at Newmark Knight Frank/RKF in Santa Monica, where he developed an affinity for high street retail and chef-driven restaurants. With an extensive resume advising best-in-class restaurant and retail tenants in high street and shopping center environments, Rob’s market knowledge is vast and nuanced. He takes pride in seeing situations through his clients’ eyes, always mindful of the details while never losing sight of the bigger picture.
